About Us
We are a young team that emerged from joint work on the digital improvement of processes in machining manufacturing at the Technical University of Darmstadt. With our many years of experience in the field of machine tools and data-driven optimization, we are working to transfer our research findings into industrial practice. Together, we want to use our experience in machining technology, computer science, AI development, and production management to strengthen the competitiveness of our partners and customers through innovative solutions.

From Research Lab to Industry
autonomIQ grew out of the AICoM research project at the Institute for Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools (PTW) at TU Darmstadt. Our founders noticed a paradox: despite highly automated CNC machinery, programming these machines remained a manual, expertise-heavy bottleneck that left skilled manufacturers struggling to keep up.
Inspired by advances in autonomous systems — from self-driving vehicles to AI-powered planning — the team set out to build software that truly programs itself. Today, backed by EXIST research transfer funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economy and Climate Action, we're turning that research into industrial reality.
