What EXIST Research Transfer means

EXIST Research Transfer is one of Germany’s most competitive early-stage funding programs. It supports university spin-offs that are translating research results into commercially viable products. The program funds up to 18 months of team salaries, equipment, and coaching.

For us, it validates what we have built at PTW and gives us the runway to build what comes next.

How we will use it

The funding enables three things:

• Team growth — We are hiring two additional software engineers to accelerate our AI pipeline development.
• Customer pilots — We can now run structured pilots with manufacturing partners without charging for the initial setup.
• Product hardening — The engineering time to move from research prototype to production-grade software is significant. This funding closes that gap.
